In recent history, a 60 cell mono PERC solar panel with up to 19%+ module efficiency would have been the pinnacle in one’s quest for a superior solar energy system. Now with the abundance of manufacturers producing very similar modules, what defines the Jinko Eagle 60M?

.

Make and model:  Jinko Eagle 60M.

Variants:   295 | 300 | 305 | 310 | 315 W.

  Performance, Affordability.

Defining the Jinko Eagle 60M there is no one standout feature nor is there a major deficiency when compared to the worlds best known solar panel specifications. There are, however, certain considerations which may or may not make the Jinko Eagle 60M solar panel the right solution for you. Most notably within the durability ranks.

Design.

Something to admire within the Jinko Eagle 60M design is the visual appearance which better compliments performance. Most notably with the elimination of the diamonds between mono cells. With such, an all-black look can be better attained without a performance impeding rear black back sheet.

Design overall though certainly doesn’t break any innovative boundaries and conforming to that of which is a standard 60 cell mono PERC solar panel by where solar panel technology is at today.

  • P-type mono cell.
  • 5-ribbon front contact.
  • PERC enhanced.
  • Glass-laminate (White).
  • Not awards listed.
  • Standard design.
  • TÜV Rheinland certified.

Durability.

Potentially the most underwhelming feature of the Jinko Eagle 60M is what matters most, durability. True, most key elements meet what is considered IEC standard. However, leaders in the durability of solar panel technology have proven such minimal figures aren’t good enough given the high degree of variables which can occur within a singular environment.

Not all is average though. The temperature change testing (thermal cycles) of the Jinko Eagle 60M is considered superior up to 600 cycles. Three times that of IEC standard. No listed hail impact resistance would be the most concerning element to consider.

  • PID Resistant.
  • Salt mist resistance EC 61701.
  • Amonia resistance IEC 62716.
  • Hail impact not listed.

Efficiency.

A respectable 19% efficiency ensures the Jinko Eagle 60M solar panel remains a highly considered option for many. The temperature coefficient is behind that of many other 60 cell mono PERC solar panels. A significant upside though is within the +3% power tolerance, which may facilitate up to an addition 9 Watts from a 315W solar panel. The luck of the draw though.

  • 19.2% maximum module efficiency.
  • -0.40%/°C Temperature coefficient.
  • 0~+3% Power tolerance.

Performance.

One can’t complain when the Jinko Eagle 60M is equipped with a parts and service 25-year performance warranty if found to be lacking that of the nominated performance degradation. Many manufacturers will often only offer a parts only warranty in this regard. Often forcing the cost to replace non-conforming solar panels on to that of the end user.

General degrading factors which define the guarantee are not the best available. However, they certainly are not the worst. Average performance degradation parameters with a good manufacturer guarantee should it be required.

  • 3% degradation in the 1st year..
  • 0.7% degradation per annum.
  • 25-year linear performance warranty.
  • Parts & service performance warranty.

Guarantee.

Guarantee characteristics relating to the Jinko Eagle 60M is one of the better for a 10-year warranty with the manufacturer committing to a full 10-year parts and service warranty.

The great news is that Jinko does have an authorised installer network. The network appears token though and not necessarily aimed as an assured purchasing channel. Featuring no additional end-user benefits, there is little added value to utilise an installer in which Jinko may suggest.

Affordability.

In typical Jinko fashion the Jinko Eagle 60M is exceptionally affordable for the technology at hand. An exceptional price per watt (wholesale) facilitates 19%+ efficiencies for those looking to outlay less towards a solar investment.

OVERALL.

Could the Jinko Eagle 60M be better? Backed by a company the size of Jinko the answer is most definitely. However, any additional advancement would affect the affordability. As such, this ensures the Jinko Eagle 60M solar panel remains just another run of the mill mono PERC solar panel aimed at the masses, driven by price.

A good option if budget restraints exist and the key criteria you seek is simply a mono PERC solar panel produced by a “Tier-1” solar panel manufacturer
