Shopping for a solar panel by manufacture alone is quite like shopping for a car by the manufacturer alone. The differences are often enormous between models. Nonetheless, questionable marketing tactics towards end-users would have you believe the term Tier-1 is all you need to know.

Each year Solar Review publishes the Latest Tier-1 Solar Panels List in a bid to assist end-user education understand the term Tier-1 was not created as a quality guideline.

Comprised of existing sources already made publicly available on the internet, this Latest Tier-1 Solar Panels List 2020 is available in an easily indexable fashion for your convenience. Not to be confused, the Bloomberg Module Tiering List 2020 is not published by Bloomberg New Energy Finance online.

Not to discredit tiering systems such as the Bloomberg Module Tiering List, as these have their place in the solar industry for few. Such place, however, is reserved for those seeking selected manufacturer financial qualifications for banks when investing in solar farms. Research criteria deemed a fraction of the overall project feasibility.

Fluctuating quarterly, the term Tier-1 is a manufacturer endorsement which does not stay with the product for life. Certifications and awards by trusted testing institutes do though.

Since 2018, Solar Review has been logging the quarterly fluctuations of manufacturers of The Latest Tier-1 Solar Panels Lists. Discover the quarterly changes of a term which should have little to no impact as part of your solar module selection criteria below;
