| Certifications | The Clean Energy Regulator's approved-battery export (file last modified 24 September 2026, retrieved 29 September 2026) lists RESU 10H Prime and RESU 16H Prime, both approved 4 June 2024, with approval through 12 June 2027. | The exact BAT-10.1P datasheet lists IEC 62619, IEC 63056, IEC 62040 and UN 38.3; the SMILE-G3-S5 AU system datasheet lists AS 4777.2 and IEC 62109. |
|---|
| Warranty scope | Australia; the Prime warranty provides ten-year product cover and 70% retained energy until 32 MWh for 10H Prime or 54 MWh for 16H Prime, whichever comes first, subject to its terms. | Australia; the 11 October 2024 warranty names SMILE-G3-S5 and BAT-10.1P with a ten-year term, 70% retained capacity and a 3.12 MWh/kWh throughput condition for eligible installations from 1 November 2024. |

| Warranty remedy | Under Article 6.1 LG decides whether to repair or to replace defective Products with refurbished parts equal in value. Under Article 6.4, if the Products are no longer commercially available, LG may instead supply equivalent equipment or refund the remaining depreciated purchase price, defined as the price paid by the Reseller or Certified Installer. | Repair or replacement at AlphaESS's option. |
|---|
| Labour and reinstallation | Installation labour is not promised. Removal and reinstallation are not promised. | Clause 2 excludes travelling and accommodation costs of persons for on-site support and does not name labour as covered or excluded. The warranty requires a qualified installer to be available for exchange and re-commissioning (clause 3) and obliges the original installer to assist with replacement (clause 10); reimbursement of necessary and reasonably incurred costs of a valid claim may be claimed with documentary evidence (clauses 2 and 10). Removal and reinstallation are not promised. |
|---|
| Freight | Ordinary claim freight is not an unconditional entitlement. | Replacement-parts freight is covered for an accepted claim. |
|---|
| Transfer and registration | No express subsequent-owner transfer right is stated. Article 11 states that the Warranty applies only to the Buyer who purchased the Products for their own use. Registration and internet access are required for the full term so LG can provide firmware updates; the warranty states at least five years without them. | The warranty is non-transferable except where the products remain installed in a building, in which case it transfers to a later purchaser of that building. Serial registration before a claim, and installation by an SAA-accredited installer with a valid Alpha Installer ID, are required. |
|---|
| Grid/network approval evidence | LG's current Australian compatibility list names both Prime models with GoodWe GW5K, GW8.6K and GW9.99K EHB-AU-G11 (DSP 30 and ARM 07 or above), the Solis S6-EH3P(5-10)K-H-AU (software V02B38D01; an LG three-phase box must be installed with Prime and the inverter must be manufactured after 15 September 2023) and the SMA SBS5.0 (software 3.12.23.R or above; backup use is available but the battery will not charge during a blackout). Brands are shown by logo in the list. The list states that a non-approved inverter voids the LG warranty. The stored reciprocal path targets the exact reviewed GW9.99K-EHB-AU-G11 record and carries the required firmware boundary. | The exact AU system is a 5 kW, 230 V single-phase hybrid under AS 4777.2. Current project approval and installer eligibility remain installation-specific. |

| Safety notice | The reviewed Australian recall names older RESU3.3, RESU6.5, RESU10, RESU13, RESU7H and RESU10H Type-C/Type-R models plus named S/A modules. RESU 10H Prime and RESU 16H Prime are not named. Source | No model-specific notice recorded |

| Review note | RESU Prime remains separately listed on LG Energy Solution's Australian product surface and on the current Australian approved-battery export. It is not the successor identity for enblock E15.5. LG discontinued RESU Monitor on 31 December 2024 and states that its functions continue through enblock Manager; the same notice states that the Home Owner Service is discontinued and is not provided by enblock Manager. Article 7 of the governing Australian Prime warranty permits LG to provide remote firmware updates without notice; these may briefly interrupt battery operation. Internet access and registration are conditions for the full warranty term, with at least five years of warranty stated without them. Article 7 still names the RESU Monitor website for registration, and the documents reviewed do not state whether commissioning through enblock Manager counts as that registration. This is a warranty condition, not an offline operating guarantee or a minimum security-support period. The 16H Prime installation manual (Version 3.2, 66 pages) was reviewed on 7 October 2026; its English sections state no firmware-signing, secure-boot or vulnerability-disclosure terms. Firmware signing, secure boot and a product vulnerability-disclosure policy remain unestablished in this bounded review. | AlphaESS's current 2026 Australian brochure lists SMILE-G3-S5/B5 with both BAT-10.1P and BAT-9.3S. The battery options coexist; neither is presented as the formal successor to the other. |
