• BIWATT describes the PowerLake I3 as a commercial and industrial storage battery; the release headline calls it NFPP-based sodium-ion, and the company says it takes part in cell-level development.
• BIWATT unveiled it at Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich in a release dated 24 June 2026; the release does not say it is available or shipping, and only the earlier PowerNest R2 and R3 are described as in commercial delivery.
• The June release headline calls I3 UL-certified while its body says UL1973 certification and UL9540A testing are in progress. The subsequently recovered maker sheet claims compliance, with UL1973 expressly cell-scoped in its technical table, but no exact certification listing or complete-system UL9540A report was independently recovered. These sources are not treated as verified system certification.
• The official I3 sheet now provides rated energy, power and conditional cycle figures, and the maker policy gives the I3 family five years of conditional hardware warranty. The page remains unscored: usable capacity is not established, cycle life lacks a retained-capacity endpoint, round-trip efficiency is not established and no exact certification listing was independently recovered.
• The product remains commercial and industrial rather than a home battery. The new sheet names indoor I3-Rack PLR-130-40, outdoor I3-Cabinet PLC-130-40 and I3-Pack PLB-8.7-40; their energy, voltage, thermal and interface boundaries are kept separate. The publication model field remains unchanged and no scored configuration is selected.
• Shenzhen Biwatt Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates are the warrantor. The current maker-linked policy is dated 10 August 2026 in its footer, although the catalogue entry was created on 2 August 2025. It covers R2/R3/R5/I3 sodium-ion batteries for five years; this is hardware/material/workmanship coverage, not a 5,000-cycle, retained-capacity or throughput warranty.
• Commencement is the earlier of on-site installation/activation/registration and retailer invoice or written evidence of delivery to the installation site. If neither date can be determined, commencement is six months after manufacture. The policy gives no explicit sales/delivery effective-date cohort and warns that local distributors may offer a separate warranty; individual or local entitlement is not established by this review.
• The warranty requires a trained installer and compliance with the manual, ventilation and storage conditions. It requires operating ambient temperature between -20 C and +55 C, storage at 0-35 C and specified SOC/maintenance conditions. Equipment within 500 metres of the coast, or installed outdoors without BIWATT-approved outdoor cabinets, is excluded. A technical enclosure rating or lower discharge-temperature claim does not remove those warranty conditions.
• Claims must be made within 30 days of failure, normally through the BIWATT app with requested contact, model/serial, installation/failure, error and troubleshooting information. The policy offers installer/national-office contact if the app route is unavailable. Offline products require claimant-assisted on-site inspection/data collection; remote diagnosis and firmware updates may interrupt operation. No customer, serial or purchase record was queried.
• BIWATT chooses configuration/software correction or replacement/exchange with a new, refurbished, functionally equivalent or superior unit. Repair/replacement coverage lasts for the original remaining term or six months, whichever is longer. Removed hardware becomes BIWATT property, and uncovered claims may incur a handling fee. Transfer is permitted only while the device remains at its original installation location.
• Unless a separate agreement applies, the limited warranty covers necessary hardware material costs and excludes all other costs. Its on-site replacement wording does not establish unconditional labour, freight or removal/reinstallation reimbursement. Lost generation and consequential losses are excluded subject to applicable statutory rights, which the policy expressly preserves. Unauthorised repairs, incompatible third-party components, transport damage, exceeded temperatures and specified extraordinary events are among its exclusions.
• The recovered datasheet distinguishes I3-Rack PLR-130-40 for indoor use from I3-Cabinet PLC-130-40 for outdoor use. Each lists 130.8 kWh rated energy, 769.5 V rated voltage, a 540-918 V range and 65.5 kW rated power. These are configuration ratings, not a measured usable capacity, AC-system output or 170 A continuous-current-derived kW guarantee.
• Rack and cabinet boundaries differ: the rack is IP20 with natural convection and lists charging from 0 C to +55 C; the cabinet is IP55 with air cooling and lists charging from -30 C to +55 C. Both list discharge from -30 C to +55 C. Parallel totals are 1-5 racks (130.8-654.0 kWh) or 1-16 cabinets (130.8-2,092.8 kWh), not interchangeable home-module capacities. The governing warranty operating floor remains -20 C, with approved outdoor cabinets and the coastal exclusion.
• The separate I3-Pack PLB-8.7-40 table gives 8.72 kWh rated energy, 170 Ah cell capacity, a 36-61.2 V battery range and 5-15 packs per cluster. Its Rated voltage row incorrectly uses the value 8.72 kWh; no nominal pack voltage is entered from that dimensionally invalid row. The bare-pack charging floor is 0 C, so cabinet cold-charging marketing cannot be transferred without exact thermal/configuration guidance.
• The sheet lists 8,000 cycles at 25 +/- 2 C, 0.5C charge/0.5C discharge and 80% DoD. Recommended DoD is 90%, but the source gives no retained-capacity cycle endpoint or measured usable-energy basis. Round-trip efficiency is not established. Neither cycle count nor a rated-energy scaling creates a capacity/throughput performance warranty.
• The rack lists CAN; the cabinet lists RS485/CAN/USB/Ethernet. The cover describes remote maintenance and OTA over Ethernet and local maintenance over CAN. Its UL1973 line is expressly cell-scoped in the technical table; UL9540A and the other standards are maker compliance statements, not independently recovered complete-system listing/test reports, firmware-security assurances or exact local approvals.
• All three technical pages were reviewed on 6 October 2026, and the current I3-family policy was reused from the complete same-day warranty review. Governing hardware terms are documented; usable capacity, cycle retention, efficiency and exact certification remain held. Announcement/delivery/local-stock status and publication identity fields are not refreshed. I3 remains C&I evidence rather than a home-battery score.
