Subsequent owners
The document covers the original buyer and a subsequent owner who acquires the product for their own use and provides proof of ownership.
Exclusions
Installation and compatible inverter conditions: Coverage can be lost where installation or operation departs from BYD documentation or the battery is used with an inverter absent from BYD's compatibility list.
Temperature and prolonged inactivity: Exposure above 50 C or below -10 C, or leaving the product unoperated for six months or more, is excluded.
External damage and unauthorised work: Transport damage, force majeure, movement after installation, and unapproved modification or repair are excluded.
Labour and travel not promised: The written remedy covers the non-conforming product or parts but does not promise installer labour, site travel, or removal and reinstallation costs.
Transferability
Transferable to a subsequent owner who acquires the installed product for their own use and can provide proof of ownership. The original term continues; it does not restart.
