Warranty period
Hybrid inverter (three-phase): 15 years
The Ocean 2 hybrid inverter (three-phase, 6 kW / 8 kW / 10 kW / 12 kW) carries a 15-year product warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from installation, as recorded by device network activation or by the authorised installer for offline units.
LFP battery modules: 15 years or 6,000 cycles
Each 5 kWh LFP battery module is warranted for 15 years or 6,000 charge/discharge cycles, whichever comes first, including a ≥70% nominal capacity retention guarantee under normal operating conditions. If less than one year remains after a module replacement, the balance counts as one full year.
What’s covered
Battery modules
Each Ocean 2 LFP 5 kWh module is covered against defects in materials and workmanship for 15 years or 6,000 charge/discharge cycles, whichever comes first. Coverage extends to the hybrid three-phase inverter, battery modules, junction box, base, and all original-packaging accessories.
Capacity retention guarantee
Each LFP module is guaranteed to retain at least 70% nominal capacity after 15 years or 6,000 charge/discharge cycles when operating with a compatible EcoFlow hybrid inverter under normal conditions (−20°C to 50°C; 10–100% relative humidity). Gradual capacity loss through normal ageing and cycling is expected and not of itself a warranty claim.
Labour and logistics
During the warranty period EcoFlow bears materials, accessories, repair labour, and logistics costs for valid claims. If a covered defect cannot be repaired, EcoFlow replaces the unit with one of comparable condition and performance based on usage time, appearance, and specifications.
Accessories
Accessories included in the original packaging may be replaced free within the warranty period, provided the failure is not from misuse or human damage and the product was used within the consumer manual's conditions.
Exclusions
Physical damage and misuse: Damage caused by collision, burning, unauthorised modification, or ingress of foreign objects (water, oil, sand, etc.) is not covered.
Unauthorised or incorrect installation: Damage arising from installation by an installer not authorised by EcoFlow, or from incorrect installation, is excluded from warranty coverage.
Non-compliant use or storage: Damage resulting from use or storage that does not comply with the conditions set out in the consumer manual, product labelling, or consumer guide is excluded.
Force majeure: Damage caused by fire, flood, lightning, traffic accidents, or other force majeure events is not covered.
Third-party compatibility: Damage or reliability issues arising from use with third-party components not approved or certified by EcoFlow are excluded.
Tampered identification markings: Products on which labels, serial numbers, waterproof marks, or anti-counterfeit marks have been removed or altered are excluded from warranty coverage.
No fault found: Where the product is tested by EcoFlow or an authorised installer and no quality defect is identified, no warranty remedy is available.
Consequential loss: EcoFlow's liability is limited to direct damage not exceeding the amount paid for the product. Losses of profit, business revenue, or anticipated savings are excluded, subject to any rights that cannot be limited under the Australian Consumer Law.
Transferability
Expressly intended for the first-time consumer who purchases through an authorised EcoFlow installer and first places the product into use. No transferability provision exists, and the policy's language does not contemplate a subsequent owner claiming.
How to make a claim
Contact your authorised EcoFlow installer first, providing valid proof of purchase and a photo or video of the fault clearly showing the serial number; if the installer cannot assist, contact EcoFlow Australia directly. EcoFlow or its installer will provide online troubleshooting, arrange factory repair, or refurbish or replace the unit as circumstances require. Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply separately and cannot be excluded or limited.
