Warranty period
Hybrid inverter (three-phase): 15 years
The OCEAN 2 three-phase inverter warranty V1.4 publishes a 15-year term, subject to its installation, registration and operating conditions.
EF BD-5-S2 battery: 15 years or 21.9 MWh
Battery warranty V1.4 covers the 5.02 kWh module until the earlier of 15 years or 21.9 MWh aggregate throughput, with 60% remaining usable energy at the warranty endpoint.
What’s covered
Battery modules
EcoFlow may provide online assistance, factory repair, refurbishment or replacement for an accepted EF BD-5-S2 claim.
Capacity retention guarantee
The exact endpoint is 60% remaining usable energy at the earlier of 15 years or 21.9 MWh. The marketing cell-cycle statement has no retained-capacity endpoint and is not treated as the warranty limit.
Product and approved logistics
EcoFlow bears materials, accessories and approved logistics under the policy process. The document does not state an owner entitlement to site labour, removal or reinstallation.
Accessories
Accessories included in the original packaging may be replaced free within the warranty period, provided the failure is not from misuse or human damage and the product was used within the consumer manual's conditions.
Exclusions
Physical damage and misuse: Damage caused by collision, burning, unauthorised modification, or ingress of foreign objects (water, oil, sand, etc.) is not covered.
Unauthorised or incorrect installation: Damage arising from installation by an installer not authorised by EcoFlow, or from incorrect installation, is excluded from warranty coverage.
Non-compliant use or storage: Damage resulting from use or storage that does not comply with the conditions set out in the consumer manual, product labelling, or consumer guide is excluded.
Force majeure: Damage caused by fire, flood, lightning, traffic accidents, or other force majeure events is not covered.
Third-party compatibility: Damage or reliability issues arising from use with third-party components not approved or certified by EcoFlow are excluded.
Tampered identification markings: Products on which labels, serial numbers, waterproof marks, or anti-counterfeit marks have been removed or altered are excluded from warranty coverage.
No fault found: Where the product is tested by EcoFlow or an authorised installer and no quality defect is identified, no warranty remedy is available.
Consequential loss: EcoFlow's liability is limited to direct damage not exceeding the amount paid for the product. Losses of profit, business revenue, or anticipated savings are excluded, subject to any rights that cannot be limited under the Australian Consumer Law.
Transferability
Transfer to the next owner is conditional on the product remaining at the initial installation address and the new owner registering it with EcoFlow.
How to make a claim
Contact your authorised EcoFlow installer first, providing valid proof of purchase and a photo or video of the fault clearly showing the serial number; if the installer cannot assist, contact EcoFlow Australia directly. EcoFlow or its installer will provide online troubleshooting, arrange factory repair, or refurbish or replace the unit as circumstances require. Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply separately and cannot be excluded or limited.
