Product (materials and workmanship) warranty: 25 years
Qcells warrants the Q.TRON BLK S-G3R.12+/BFG against defects in materials and workmanship for 25 years from original purchase: cells, encapsulant, frame, junction box, wiring, and connectors under normal operating and installation conditions. The G3R is a current-production N-type Q.ANTUM NEO bifacial module carrying the same 25-year term as other premium residential lines.
Linear performance warranty: 30 years
Guaranteed output: at least 98.5% of rated nominal power at end of year one, declining no more than 0.33% per year: at least 95.53% after 10 years and 88.93% after 30 years. The extended 30-year linear term reflects the G3R generation's improved cell technology.
What’s covered
Defects in materials and workmanship
Covers manufacturing defects under normal conditions: cell degradation beyond warranted thresholds, delamination, corrosion of electrical contacts, and frame failures not caused by external physical damage. Both front and rear surfaces of the bifacial construction are covered.
Power output shortfall
If measured output under standard test conditions falls below the guaranteed linear thresholds, Qcells will replace the module or provide a proportional credit: removal, reinstallation, and balance-of-system costs are not included.
Exclusions
Removal and reinstallation labour: Removing defective modules from a rooftop or ground-mount installation and reinstalling replacements is not covered; these costs remain with the system owner.
Bifacial rear-side damage: Damage to the bifacial module's rear glass or surface from improper handling, installation contact, or external impact is not covered.
Damage from improper installation or misuse: Void for non-compliant installation, physical abuse, unauthorised modification, shading unaccounted for in system design, or operation outside rated specifications.
Force majeure and environmental damage: Damage from storms, hail, flooding, fire, lightning, salt spray beyond the module's rated corrosion category, or other events outside the manufacturer's control is excluded.
Transferability
Issued to the original purchaser and does not transfer to subsequent owners; Qcells' standard residential warranty terms provide no formal transfer mechanism.

Hanwha Qcells exited the Australian residential market in early 2024; warranty support is administered by Zeco, its appointed Australian after-sales partner. Claim processing has been slow and remedies not always like-for-like. Qcells maintains all warranties remain valid under Australian Consumer Law.
