Parts & labour · term longer than 6 of 38 scored inverters

No inverter in the fleet publishes a year-by-year performance or output guarantee the way panels and batteries do - this shows the covered term against the market-typical term and where every scored inverter’s term lands (grey dots, sized by model count), plus what the warranty actually includes.

Warranty period
Standard product warranty: 10 years
Standard 10-year product warranty from the date of installation or within 3 months of shipment (whichever occurs first). Huawei repairs or replaces units defective in materials or workmanship at no cost for parts. The full 10-year term applies without additional registration fees, provided a qualified electrician installs and commissions the unit per Huawei's technical documentation.
Optional warranty extension: up to 15 or 20 years
Optional extended packages extend coverage to 15 or 20 years from original installation. Extensions must be purchased within a defined window: typically before the standard warranty expires: at additional cost. Extended terms mirror the standard scope: parts and remote diagnostics covered, on-site labour and travel excluded.
What’s covered
Defects in materials and workmanship
Covers failures from defects in materials or workmanship under normal operating conditions. Huawei will, at its discretion, repair the unit, supply parts, or replace it with an equivalent product; repaired or replaced units assume the remaining original term.
Remote monitoring and diagnostics
Includes remote fault diagnostics via the FusionSolar cloud platform. Faults resolvable by firmware update or remote parameter adjustment are actioned at no charge; on-site dispatch is coordinated through the local Huawei service partner network.
Exclusions
On-site labour and travel: Removal, reinstallation, and all associated labour and travel costs are excluded under standard and extended warranties: they fall to the system owner or their installer.
Physical damage and misuse: Improper installation, unauthorised modification, physical impact, flooding, lightning strike, or operation outside specified parameters voids the warranty. A licensed electrician must install per Huawei's commissioning guidelines.
Non-authorised installers and service: Claims may be voided if a party Huawei does not recognise as trained and authorised installed or serviced the unit. Non-genuine spare parts also void the warranty.
Grid or utility events: Damage from grid surges, voltage transients, utility supply quality issues, or failure of external protection equipment (AC/DC isolators, surge protection devices) is excluded.
Cosmetic damage: Scratches, dents, discolouration, or other cosmetic deterioration that does not affect the functional performance of the inverter are not covered.
Transferability
Not transferable: coverage applies to the original installation site and original end customer only. On property sale, the remaining benefit does not pass to new owners unless Huawei is formally notified and agrees in writing, which is not standard practice under its published terms.
How to make a claim
Lodge claims via Huawei's authorised Australian service partner network or the FusionSolar portal, providing proof of purchase, installation date, commissioning record, and a fault description. Huawei targets a 2-business-day response for remote diagnostics and coordinates on-site service through a local authorised partner where inspection or replacement is needed. On-site labour is not covered: the system owner pays. An optional extension to 15 or 20 years from installation is available at extra cost, typically purchasable only before the original 10-year term expires.
