Warranty period
Product warranty
Jinko Solar warrants the Tiger Neo N-type 54HL4R-BDV 450W against material and workmanship defects for 25 years from original installation. The '-BDV' suffix designates the bifacial dual-glass variant. The reviewed datasheet states that this product-warranty term applies in Australia.
Linear power performance warranty (front side)
Front-side output is warranted for 30 years on a linear schedule: at least 99.0% of rated minimum peak power in year one, declining no more than 0.40% per year, with a floor of 87.4% at end of year 30. Bifacial gain from rear-side irradiance is additional and not separately warranted: it depends on installation-specific albedo and clearance conditions.
What’s covered
Defects in materials and workmanship
Covers manufacturing defects on both front and rear glass surfaces: delamination, cell cracking from internal stress, frame (where fitted) or frameless edge seal failure, junction box or connector failure, glass breakage from manufacturing fault. Both glass lites are covered.
Performance shortfall below warranted thresholds
Where measured front-side output falls below the warranted floor, Jinko Solar supplies replacement or additional modules or a pro-rated refund at its election. Rear-side variation from site-specific albedo is not grounds for a claim.
Exclusions
External physical damage: Damage from hail, storm, lightning, flood, fire, impact, vandalism, or other external causes is excluded. This includes damage to the rear glass surface.
Bifacial gain variability: Rear-side energy yield depends on site-specific factors: albedo, mounting height, tilt angle, rear-surface soiling. Bifacial gain variation is not a defect and is not covered; the performance warranty applies only to front-side rated output.
Improper installation or use: Void if installed outside Jinko Solar's published guidelines, including minimum clearance for bifacial performance: operated beyond rated limits, or structurally modified after manufacture.
Labour and ancillary costs: Removal, reinstallation, shipping, scaffolding, and access costs are excluded from the manufacturer warranty. ACL consumer guarantees may impose separate obligations on the Australian retailer.
Degradation within warranted limits: Power output decline within the stated linear performance parameters is normal and is not a warrantable defect.
Transferability
Transfers automatically with the property or system for the remainder of the original period, no registration; proof of original installation date typically needed for a claim.
How to make a claim
Submit claims to Jinko Solar or its authorised Australian distributor with proof of purchase, serial number, defect description, and supporting documentation. Performance claims should include test data per Jinko Solar's approved protocol. In Australia, the selling retailer is the first contact under ACL obligations.
