Warranty period
Product warranty
Jinko Solar warrants the Tiger Neo N-type 54HL4R-(V) 440W against material and workmanship defects for 25 years from original installation. Remedy: at Jinko Solar's discretion: is repair, replacement, or pro-rated refund. The '-V' suffix denotes the TÜV-cabled variant for Australia and the EU.
Linear power performance warranty
Power output is warranted for 30 years on a linear schedule: at least 99.0% of rated minimum peak power in year one, declining no more than 0.40% per year, with a floor of 87.4% at end of year 30. Performance claims require testing under IEC 61215 or Jinko Solar's approved protocol.
What’s covered
Defects in materials and workmanship
Covers manufacturing defects: delamination, cell cracking from internal stress, frame deformation, junction box or connector failure, glass breakage from manufacturing fault rather than external impact. Module as shipped only; third-party accessories and components excluded.
Performance shortfall below warranted thresholds
Where measured output falls below the warranted minimum for the applicable year, Jinko Solar provides replacement or additional modules for the shortfall, or a pro-rated refund, at its election. Approved-protocol testing must support the claim.
Exclusions
External physical damage: Damage from hail, storm, lightning, flood, fire, impact, vandalism, or other external forces is excluded, as are cosmetic defects that do not affect electrical output.
Improper installation or use: Void if installed outside the parameters in Jinko Solar's installation manual, operated beyond rated electrical or mechanical limits, or structurally modified after manufacture.
Third-party workmanship defects: Failures caused by installation errors, incompatible mounting hardware, incorrect wiring, or post-sale service work not authorised by Jinko Solar are excluded.
Labour and ancillary costs: Removal, reinstallation, shipping, scaffolding, and access costs are not covered by the manufacturer warranty. ACL consumer guarantees may impose separate obligations on the Australian retailer.
Degradation within warranted limits: Power output decline that remains within the stated linear performance warranty parameters is normal and is not a warrantable defect.
Transferability
Transfers automatically with the property or system to subsequent owners for the remainder of the original period. No formal registration is required, but documentary proof of original installation date will typically be required for any claim.
How to make a claim
Submit claims to Jinko Solar or its authorised Australian distributor with proof of purchase, serial number, defect description, and photographic or test evidence. In Australia, the selling retailer is the first contact under ACL obligations and must assist rather than direct the customer solely to the manufacturer.
