Historical product warranty: 40 years with registration
The Australian warranty naming SPR-MAX7-xxx-PT provides 40-year coverage for registered eligible installations and 25 years without registration. This preserves evidence for installed systems; it does not establish current new-product supply.
Linear power performance warranty: 40 years
Guaranteed output: minimum 98.0% of rated power in Year 1, then maximum annual degradation of 0.25% for the remaining 39 years, no less than 88.3% of original rated output at end of year 40. This 0.25%/year rate is lower than the roughly 0.4–0.5%/year on standard-tier panels in this dataset.

Materials and workmanship defects
Covers defects in materials and workmanship causing non-conformance with specifications. Remedy: repair, replacement with an equivalent or better module, or a pro-rated refund: full purchase price within the first five years, reducing linearly by 2.78% per year thereafter over the 40-year term.
Labour: removal and reinstallation (limited)
For modules installed in Australia by Maxeon, an affiliate, or an Authorised Partner, Maxeon contributes to removal and reinstallation: capped at AU$375 for up to five modules per claim, plus AU$75 per additional module. Labour is partial, not full, for larger arrays.
Australian Consumer Law
Australian Consumer Law rights apply in addition: replacement or refund for a major failure, compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage, and repair or replacement where goods fail acceptable quality short of major failure. These ACL rights cannot be excluded by the limited warranty.
Exclusions
Misuse, neglect, and improper installation: Excludes modules damaged by misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, or improper installation; unauthorised modifications or alterations also void coverage.
Acts of nature and environmental damage: Excluded: lightning, flood, fire, hail, storm, and other acts of nature, plus conditions exceeding the module's operational specifications: excessive voltage, wind load, or snow load.
Cosmetic defects not affecting performance: Minor surface defects (such as scratches or minor discolouration) that do not affect electrical performance are excluded from coverage.
Registration not completed: Without timely registration within Maxeon's prescribed post-installation period, both product and performance warranties default to 25 years rather than 40.
Transferability
Transferable to a subsequent owner of the property, subject to formal notification to Maxeon with updated ownership documentation. The remaining term transfers with the property.

For new Australian comparisons, review.solar treats Maxeon 7 as unavailable because it is absent from the current SunPower Australia and Maxeon product libraries.
