Warranty period
Standard product warranty: 5 years
A 5-year limited warranty runs from installation or 6 months from shipment from Growatt, whichever is earlier, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions. The period cannot be paused or extended while the unit is under repair or replacement processing.
Extended warranty: optional up to 10 years
An optional extension takes the standard 5 years to 10 total. Purchase within the original warranty period, subject to Growatt's prevailing pricing and terms at application: set by Growatt or its authorised Australian distributor and subject to change.
What’s covered
Defects in materials and workmanship
Covers faults from defective components or manufacturing errors that stop the inverter operating to its published specifications. Remedy: repair or replacement at Growatt's discretion. Replacements: new or factory-refurbished: assume the remainder of the original term.
Return and replacement process
Lodge claims through Growatt's authorised Australian service channel. Confirmed valid defects are repaired or replaced at no charge for parts. The claimant pays freight to Growatt's service centre; Growatt covers return freight on approved claims.
Exclusions
Labour and installation costs: Removal of the defective inverter from site and reinstallation of a replacement are not covered: the system owner's responsibility.
Damage from improper installation: Excludes damage from installation not complying with Growatt's installation manual, Australian standards (AS/NZS 4777), or applicable regulatory requirements.
Damage from external causes: Excludes faults from lightning, power surges, flooding, fire, acts of nature, physical damage, or other causes outside normal operating conditions.
Unauthorised modification or repair: Units opened, modified, or repaired by anyone other than Growatt or its authorised service agents have their warranty voided.
Consumables and normal wear: Consumable components and degradation consistent with normal wear over time are excluded from warranty coverage.
Non-transferability: Original end-user purchaser only: does not transfer to subsequent owners of the system or property.
Transferability
The Growatt SPH6000TL-HU-AU warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only. If the property is sold, the warranty does not pass to the new owner.
How to make a claim
Contact Growatt's authorised Australian distributor (currently Solarman/Growatt Australia) with proof of purchase, installation date, installer details and a fault description. The standard 5 years extends to 10 via Growatt's paid programme: purchase within the original 5-year term; costs vary, so ask your installer or Growatt Australia. Removal and reinstallation labour is not covered under any tier.
