Warranty period
Product warranty: 10 years standard
Warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 10 years from original installation: or, where installation records are unavailable, from the manufacture date plus a reasonable allowance. A product (materials and workmanship) warranty only; it does not govern performance degradation over time.
Extended warranty: up to 15 years (purchasable)
An optional extension takes coverage to 15 years from original installation. It must be purchased separately, typically at or shortly after commissioning; pricing and availability are set by the authorised Sigenergy distributor or Sigenergy Australia at purchase.
What’s covered
Defects in materials and workmanship
Sigenergy will, at its discretion, repair or replace units defective in materials or workmanship under normal operating conditions. Replacements may be new or factory-refurbished and carry only the remainder of the original warranty period, not a fresh term.
On-site exchange: parts and labour
For Australian C&I installations, warranty service covers both replacement hardware and installer labour for removal and reinstallation: confirmed directly with Sigenergy Australia as at June 2026. Comparable C&I inverter warranties commonly exclude labour costs.
Exclusions
Physical damage: Damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper handling is not covered.
Incorrect installation: Damage caused by installation not performed in accordance with Sigenergy's published installation instructions and applicable Australian standards (AS/NZS 4777.2) is excluded.
Acts of God and external causes: Lightning, flooding, fire, earthquake, external power surges, and other environmental events beyond the manufacturer's control are excluded.
Unauthorised modification: Any modification, repair, or tampering carried out by a party other than Sigenergy or an authorised service agent voids the warranty.
Normal wear and gradual degradation: Gradual performance reduction within published tolerances over the life of the unit is not a covered defect.
Use outside rated parameters: Operation in conditions exceeding the inverter's rated environmental or electrical specifications, including sustained overtemperature, overvoltage, or overcurrent events: is excluded from coverage.
Transferability
Transferability to a subsequent site owner or system purchaser is not explicitly stated. As a C&I product, coverage is generally tied to the original purchasing entity and installation site: prospective buyers should confirm transferability with Sigenergy Australia or the installing authorised distributor before purchase.
How to make a claim
Lodge Australian claims through the supplying authorised Sigenergy distributor or directly with Sigenergy Australia, providing serial number, proof of purchase, commissioning date, and a fault description. If approved, Sigenergy's Australian service team arranges on-site replacement including parts and installer labour. The standard term is 10 years, extendable to 15 via a separately purchased extension: confirm which term applies before lodging a claim.
