Labour and travel costs: Travel, accommodation, and the claimant's own employees or contractors attending site are excluded unless agreed with Sigenergy in writing in advance.
Improper installation: Damage from installation by unqualified or untrained personnel, or contrary to Sigenergy's installation instructions and user manual, is excluded.
Force majeure: Damage caused by storm, lightning strike, fire, thunderstorm, flooding, pests or other events beyond normal operating conditions is not covered.
Unauthorised repair or modification: Disassembly, repair or replacement of parts by third parties not authorised by Sigenergy voids the warranty.
Coastal and marine environments: Equipment installed within 500 metres of a coastline or in areas exposed to sea winds is excluded from warranty coverage.
External power quality issues: Damage arising from grid-side power quality problems, including voltage imbalance, over-voltage, voltage sag or surge: is not covered.
Cosmetic damage and wear: Surface rust from harsh environments, scratches, engraving, labels, irreversible marking, contamination or theft are excluded where they do not affect functional operation.
Consequential and indirect losses: Loss of generation revenue, profit or business, and any indirect or consequential losses from downtime or defect are excluded. Liability is capped at the inverter system's purchase value.
Third-party components: Damage caused by software, interfacing equipment, parts or supplies not supplied by Sigenergy is excluded.
