Warranty period
25-year product term
The exact Australian NEG10R.28Z datasheet and Trinasolar's 22 July 2026 launch publish a 25-year product warranty. The global PAC1 warranty expressly lists TSM-***NEG10R.28Z and requires Australian purchases to come through authorised resellers.
30-year linear power term
Maximum first-year degradation is 1.0%, followed by no more than 0.35% per year from years 2 to 30. The warranted endpoint is 88.85% of nameplate power at year 30.
What’s covered
Material, workmanship and manufacturing defects
The global warranty covers defects that materially impede power generation. For an accepted claim, Trinasolar may repair, replace, supply additional modules or refund the applicable value at its discretion.
Direct repair and delivery freight
Trinasolar bears direct repair costs and transport costs for delivery of the repaired or replacement product to the buyer. Removal, handling, repacking and reinstallation remain outside the voluntary warranty.
Australian Consumer Law rights
Trinasolar Australia states that Australian consumers retain statutory rights, including reasonable labour and installation costs where required by Australian Consumer Law. Those rights sit alongside the voluntary warranty and are not reduced by it.
Exclusions
Removal and reinstallation: The voluntary warranty excludes dismantling, handling, repacking, installation and reinstallation costs. Separate Australian Consumer Law obligations may still apply to the retailer or manufacturer.
Unauthorised Australian supply: For Australia, the global warranty applies only to modules purchased from Trinasolar-authorised Australian resellers. Parallel imports without Trinasolar's consent are excluded.
Improper installation or operation: Damage arising from installation or operation contrary to Trinasolar instructions, use by unqualified persons, unauthorised alteration or operation outside rated conditions is excluded.
External events and cosmetic change: External hail, storm, lightning, flood, fire and other force-majeure damage are excluded, as are cosmetic changes that do not materially impair power generation.
Transferability
The global warranty transfers to a subsequent owner while the modules remain at the original installation location and have not been moved or disassembled.
How to make a claim
Use Trinasolar's Customer Service Portal within two months of discovering a defect. Keep proof of authorised Australian purchase, installation evidence, model and serial numbers, a detailed defect description and photographs. Australian consumers should also contact the selling retailer because statutory guarantees apply independently.
