Warranty coverage: 10-year term
Coverage includes
Parts only · term longer than 24 of 95 scored inverters
No inverter in the fleet publishes a year-by-year performance or output guarantee the way panels and batteries do - this shows the covered term against the market-typical term and where every scored inverter’s term lands (grey dots, sized by model count), plus what the warranty actually includes.

Strong evidence coverage
27 of 27 scored criteria link directly to a published source.
Values marked estimated, derived, or not found remain visible on the audit sheet and do not carry the same evidential weight as a linked source. Coverage measures direct links, not an independent guarantee that a claim is correct.

Rings, outside in: manufacturer claim, certified or regulator-listed, third-party source. The centre is review.solar's own measurement, empty for every product today. Warranty terms and design facts that rest on the maker's own word are counted beside the rings; a reviewed absence, or one that reaches beyond the maker's claim, stays in them. - United States; a 10-year full parts replacement or full product replacement warranty from the date of original purchase. Registration within the first year of purchase, or proof of purchase from an EG4 authorized distributor, is required for the warranty to remain valid, and product not purchased through an approved vendor is not covered. Cover transfers once, only while the product remains at the original installation site, and removing or reselling it voids the warranty. No labour condition is stated in the warranty document, version 1.2. Parts exchanges are covered during the term, with replacement shipping charges possible outside the continental United States. Unauthorized firmware changes void cover.

- Intertek certificate of compliance 230209047GZU-001, issued 3 April 2025, lists UL 1741:2021 Edition 3 (revised to 19 May 2023) with Supplements SA and SB, CSA C22.2 No. 107.1:2016, CSA C22.2 No. 330:2017 (photovoltaic rapid shutdown systems), IEEE 1547:2018, IEEE 1547.1:2020 and HECO SRD-IEEE-1547.1:2020 Edition 2.0 for models 18KPV-12LV and 18KPV-11.4LV. The certificate does not list UL 1699B or NEC 690.12. EG4 spec sheet version 1.4.3 lists AFCI to NEC 2020 690.11 and UL 1699B and rapid shutdown to NEC 2020 690.12, and EG4's hybrid inverter RSD transmitter note version 1.0 states that an AP Smart transmitter is built into all 18kPV models.; The California Energy Commission Grid Support Solar Inverter List and Grid Support Battery Inverter List both carry 18KPV-12LV at 208 V (10.4 kW, 208 Vac) and 240 V (12 kW, 240 Vac), described as a grid support utility interactive hybrid inverter (IV-12000-HYB-AW- may be followed by 00-99) with PCS functionality. The full-data export, which the CEC states has not changed since 1 October 2026, gives a grid support listing date of 21 June 2023, a last update of 2 June 2025 and a UL 1741 Supplement SB certificate by Intertek dated 3 April 2025. The list marks Common Smart Inverter Profile conformance as Y*, which the CEC defines as not certified to CSIP but connected to a gateway during NRTL compatibility testing.

- EG4 Electronics LLC of 1130 Como Street South, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482, telephone 903-609-1988, is the certificate holder, with EG4's distributors page listing Signature Solar among more than a dozen distributors, and a Get EG4 Installed form on EG4's site through which an Elite Certified Installer contacts the home or business owner who submits it. EG4 is a US-headquartered brand whose parent is building US inverter manufacturing capacity in Commerce, Texas, and its hybrid inverters are co-developed with and manufactured by China-based Luxpowertek under a signed joint statement; EG4 makes no US-assembly or US-content claim for this model in its own product documents. A United States government cybersecurity advisory applies to this product line: CISA advisory ICSA-25-219-07, updated 9 September 2025, covers all versions of EG4's inverters including the 18kPV, citing four vulnerabilities including installation of firmware without an integrity check. EG4 remediated two server-side issues in April and August 2025 with no user action required, released integrity-checked firmware for the remainder, and announced updated hardware; the advisory concerns remote monitoring security, not electrical safety, and no product recall exists. Exact US advisory: CISA ICSA-25-219-07 Update B names EG4 18kPV all versions and records firmware and server-side mitigations for four CVEs. No public EG4 VDP or dated support horizon was established.
