Evidence rings
Six buyer questions run around the board. Each ring inward is a stronger kind of evidence. A piece's depth is the share of that question's audit rows at that tier; a dashed piece has nothing at that tier yet. Of 7,045 audit rows, 5,983 rest on the manufacturer's own word, 210 on a certificate or regulator listing and 161 on a third-party source.

The centre is empty because review.solar does not yet measure products itself. The measurement pilot records the manufacturer's own declared values under stated conditions; it is not a laboratory result.

Categories run across and markets down. A piece counts the products available in that market, the market checks still open (hatched) and the products we checked that are not sold there, which is a completed finding. A dashed piece means nothing in that category has been reviewed for that market. The 38 frontier products below have published evidence pages but no market yet, so they wait under their category until one is established.
How a tier is set
Every audit row gets one tier, derived from the row's own evidence state and sources. A reviewed absence or an estimate is decided first. Otherwise a source lifts the row when it is the first source cited, or when the criterion is itself a standards or certification criterion: a PID certificate cited beside a datasheet does not certify a panel's frame.
- Third-party source: the provenance names a third party, or the source is a third-party test programme such as PVEL. Some are brand-level listings rather than tests of the exact product.
- Certified or regulator-listed: a regulator or official register (Clean Energy Regulator, Clean Energy Council, California Energy Commission, Germany's ZEREZ, Austria's inverter list and others), a certification body's directory, or a certificate hosted by the maker or the certifier. A copy on a distributor's site does not count, and a maker's own declaration of conformity stays a manufacturer claim.
- Manufacturer claim: the maker's datasheet or statement, and secondary reporting of it.
- Reviewed absence: the exact-product material was checked and does not publish the value. It is a finding about disclosure, not a fault in the product.
A certificate is recognised from its source or its file name. One that names neither stays a manufacturer claim until its provenance cites the certifier or register, so the certified rings undercount rather than overcount.
