Warranty period
Product warranty: 10 years
Covers defects in materials and workmanship for ten (10) years from installation. Remedy: repair or replacement at Enphase's discretion for units defective under normal operating conditions. Applies to the original installation site only, not transferable to a subsequent property owner.
Capacity retention guarantee: 10 years
Guarantees at least 70% of original rated energy capacity (5.0 kWh usable per unit) across the 10-year period: measured under standard conditions, regardless of cycle count within normal residential use. Below 70% before the end of year ten, Enphase will repair or replace the affected unit.
What’s covered
Defects in materials and workmanship
Covers all internal components, enclosure, and integrated microinverter electronics against manufacturing defects and material failures, at no cost to the customer. Enphase determines whether a failure is a covered defect by technical inspection: which may be conducted remotely via the Enlighten monitoring platform.
Replacement units
Replacements may be new or refurbished units of equivalent specification, carrying the remainder of the original term, not a fresh ten years. Enphase bears the hardware cost; installation and freight depend on the regional terms applying at the time of the claim.
Monitoring and remote diagnosis
Real-time Enlighten monitoring lets Enphase diagnose claims remotely before dispatching a technician or replacement unit. Customers must maintain active internet connectivity for the gateway as a condition of efficient claim processing.
Exclusions
Removal and reinstallation labour: Labour to remove the defective unit or reinstall a replacement falls to the customer or their installer, not reimbursed under the standard product warranty.
Damage from improper installation: Excludes damage from installation not complying with Enphase's installation manual, applicable Australian Standards, or Clean Energy Council guidelines. A CEC-accredited installer is required to maintain warranty validity in Australia.
Physical damage and external causes: Excludes damage from accident, misuse, abuse, flooding, fire, earthquake, lightning or other external events, plus cosmetic damage not affecting function. Claims arising from these causes will be rejected.
Unauthorised modification or repair: Modification, repair or opening by anyone other than Enphase or its authorised service partners voids the warranty immediately, including independent replacement of internal cells or components.
Operation outside specified conditions: Void if operated outside the datasheet's environmental and electrical specifications: ambient temperature limits, voltage/frequency ranges. Installation in environments not approved in the documentation (e.g. above-40°C unventilated spaces) may also void it.
Consequential and incidental losses: Excludes indirect, incidental or consequential losses: lost feed-in tariff income, increased electricity costs, business interruption. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective hardware.
Transferability
Non-transferable: original purchaser at the original installation address only. On property sale the warranty does not pass automatically, and Enphase is not obligated to honour claims from a subsequent owner.
How to make a claim
Lodge claims via enphase.com/en-au/support or an authorised Enphase installer, with the system serial number, Enlighten system ID, installation date and installer details. Remote Enlighten diagnostics may precede any physical inspection. As of mid-2026 Enphase is active and publicly listed (NASDAQ: ENPH) with established Australian operations; warranty fulfilment risk is considered normal.
