Warranty period
5-year product warranty
Electronics and enclosure hardware: battery cover, micro circuit breaker, BMS PCBA: are warranted free of workmanship and material defects for five years from the original end-user purchase date. Without proof of purchase, the start date defaults to the earlier of the installation date or six months after manufacture.
10-year performance warranty (capacity retention)
Each module is warranted to retain 70% of rated usable energy for ten years, or deliver a model-specific minimum throughput: 16.4 MWh (LX F 6.4-H-20) to 73.6 MWh (LX F 28.8-H-20), whichever is met first. The period runs from the earlier of installation or six months after production, at a rate of one full charge-discharge cycle per day.
What’s covered
Hardware defects
Covers defects in materials and workmanship in the battery enclosure, battery cover, micro circuit breaker and BMS PCBA. Remedy at GOODWE's sole discretion: software or configuration fix, repair with spare parts, or replacement with a brand-new, refurbished or functionally equivalent model.
Capacity retention below 70% of usable energy
Measurable usable energy below 70% of rated capacity within the 10-year performance period, and before the model-specific minimum throughput is reached: is covered. Usable energy is measured under standardised conditions at 25–28 °C per Appendix A of the warranty document.
Replacement unit warranty continuity
The remaining period transfers automatically to a replacement unit. If under six months remain at replacement, the replacement's warranty is extended to a minimum of six months.
Transportation costs (partial and conditional)
In some regions GoodWe contributes to outbound and inbound ground transport up to an undisclosed maximum: ask GoodWe or the distributor for the applicable amount. Costs above that limit, or via non-standard transport, are the claimant's responsibility.
Exclusions
Labour and removal/reinstallation costs: Covers hardware materials only: on-site labour is not guaranteed and sits at GoodWe's sole discretion. A capped rebate may be offered in some regions and business cases, but only where pre-authorised by GoodWe; none applies automatically.
Incompatible inverter installation: Must be installed with a GoodWe brand inverter, a third-party inverter without GoodWe's prior written approval may void the warranty.
No internet connectivity: Internet connectivity for monitoring is required; failure to maintain it may render the warranty null and void.
Faulty or untrained installation: Installation must be by a skilled or trained installer. Excludes faults from improper installation, failure to follow the User Manual or Installation Guide, or unauthorised modifications.
Force majeure and environmental damage: Excludes damage from flooding, lightning, overvoltage, fire, pests, storms, saltwater or coastal atmospheres (without prior written GoodWe approval), and similar force majeure or harsh environmental conditions.
Exceeding cycle rate (more than one full cycle per day): Calibrated to a maximum of one full charge-discharge cycle per day: use exceeding this rate is not covered by the performance warranty.
Capacity expansion after one year: Capacity cannot be expanded more than one year after first installation: later-added pack modules follow the original system's existing warranty terms rather than a fresh period.
Normal wear and tear: Gradual degradation consistent with normal use that stays above the 70% usable energy retention threshold is normal wear and tear, not a warranty defect.
Loss of revenue, power, or consequential damages: Excludes liability for lost generation revenue, loss of business, lost anticipated savings, and any indirect, consequential or special damages from battery downtime or failure.
Late fault reporting: Failures or warnings must be reported to GoodWe within one month of appearance: later claims are treated as abandoned.
Transferability
No provision for transfer to a subsequent property owner or end user exists in the published Global warranty terms.
How to make a claim
Contact the original distributor or installer first; if unresolved, raise a service ticket at support.goodwe.com/portal/home. Provide contact details, model number, serial number, installation date, failure date, PV installation details, and any SEMS app error messages. Submit within one month of the fault appearing. GoodWe may arrange an on-site inspection by an authorised technician before approving a remedy.
