How to claim
Lodge claims through GoodWe Australia or an authorised GoodWe installer, with proof of purchase, installation date and a fault description. Full summary, conditions and sources: page 2.
Covers defects in materials and workmanship for 10 years from installation or 10.5 years from manufacture, whichever expires first. The period runs from the registered installation date, provided registration with GoodWe occurs within 30 days of commissioning.
Extended warranty option
An optional paid extension takes coverage to 15 or 20 years from installation. Purchase at installation or within a specified grace period, with the fee payable to GoodWe or an authorised distributor. Extended terms mirror the standard warranty obligations.
What’s covered
Defects in materials and workmanship
Failures from defects in materials or workmanship are repaired or replaced at GoodWe's sole discretion: replacements may be new or factory-refurbished units of equivalent specification.
Repair or replacement
Accepted claims receive a replacement or repaired unit. GoodWe covers freight both ways for Australian claims, subject to return via GoodWe's approved returns process.
Exclusions
Labour and reinstallation: Labour to remove the faulty inverter or reinstall the replacement is not covered: the system owner's responsibility.
Damage from improper installation: Excludes damage from installation not complying with GoodWe's installation manual, applicable Australian Standards, or local grid connection requirements.
Acts of nature and external causes: Excludes damage from lightning, flooding, fire, vermin, grid overvoltage, or other external causes beyond normal operating conditions.
Unauthorised modification or repair: Modification, repair, or opening by parties other than GoodWe or its authorised service agents voids the warranty entirely.
Consumable components: Consumable or wear components such as fans, where applicable, may be subject to a shorter or separate warranty term at GoodWe's discretion.
Transferability
Registered to the original installation site, not transferable on property sale. A new owner would need a new agreement with GoodWe or an authorised distributor to maintain coverage.
