Parts only · term longer than 6 of 38 scored inverters

No inverter in the fleet publishes a year-by-year performance or output guarantee the way panels and batteries do - this shows the covered term against the market-typical term and where every scored inverter’s term lands (grey dots, sized by model count), plus what the warranty actually includes.

The guarantee
  • Standard warranty: years 1 to 5
  • Optional extended warranty: years 6 to 10
  • Defects in design, components and workmanship

What voids or limits it
  • Improper installation or maintenance
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications
  • External causes: environmental and electrical events
  • Consequential and indirect losses
  • Normal wear and consumable components
  • Products installed outside country of original sale
How to claim

Warranty period
Standard warranty: years 1 to 5
Five years from installation, capped at five and a half years from factory delivery. Growatt covers a replacement unit and reimburses up to $150 (incl. GST) towards installer labour, provided the claim is lodged correctly through the Growatt OSS portal by a registered installer. The defective unit must be returned after replacement dispatch: otherwise Growatt invoices for the faulty unit plus administration charges.
Optional extended warranty: years 6 to 10
A paid extension takes the five years to ten from installation (capped at ten and a half years from delivery), covering the replacement unit only, no labour contribution. Non-transferable, and valid only at the original registered address in the original country of sale. Typically register within 12 months of factory shipment; free extension promotions have applied to selected MAX series models at times.
What’s covered
Defects in design, components and workmanship
Covers defects in design, materials or manufacturing workmanship under normal operating conditions. Remedy: repair or replacement without charge at Growatt's discretion, subject to claim validation through the Growatt portal by a registered Australian installer.
Replacement unit provision
Approved claims receive a replacement unit: possibly refurbished or an equivalent model: carrying the balance of the original warranty period, not a fresh term.
Labour contribution (years 1–5 only)
Faults within the first five years attract up to $150 (incl. GST) towards installer swap-out labour: only where the claim procedure is correctly followed. Claims lacking required diagnostic evidence or from unregistered installers may be rejected.
Exclusions
Improper installation or maintenance: Excludes damage from installation, operation, or maintenance not complying with Growatt specifications, applicable Australian Standards, or relevant electrical regulations.
Unauthorised repairs or modifications: Any repair, modification, or servicing carried out by a party not authorised by Growatt will void the warranty for the affected unit.
External causes: environmental and electrical events: Excludes damage from lightning, power surges, flooding, fire, acts of nature, corrosive environments, or other external causes outside normal operating conditions.
Consequential and indirect losses: Excludes consequential or indirect losses: lost revenue from downtime, electricity profit losses, freight and logistics beyond the standard claim process, and any expenses beyond the capped labour contribution.
Normal wear and consumable components: Consumables (fans, fuses) and cosmetic deterioration not affecting function are generally excluded.
Products installed outside country of original sale: Valid only for units installed in the country of original sale: units relocated or resold to a different country are not covered.
Transferability
Non-transferable, including any extension: registered to the original purchaser and installation address. On property sale or relocation, it does not pass to the new owner or site.
How to make a claim
Claims must be lodged by a registered installer via the Growatt OSS portal (au.growatt.com), with fault evidence including diagnostic data before replacement approval. Australian support: 1800 476 928, australia@growatt.com. The standard five years extends to ten via Growatt's paid programme: historically free on selected MAX series units during promotions, and MAX series may be eligible for further paid extensions to 15 or 20 years depending on the programme at purchase; confirm eligibility at point of sale. Labour reimbursement (up to $150 incl. GST) applies only in the first five years: none in years six to ten.
