Warranty period
Product warranty
Jinko Solar warrants the Tiger Neo N-type 48HL4M-DB 475W All-Black against material and workmanship defects for 25 years from original installation. The '-DB' suffix denotes dual-glass all-black construction: black frame, encapsulant, and rear glass. Remedy: repair, replacement, or pro-rated refund at Jinko Solar's discretion.
Linear power performance warranty
Power output is warranted for 30 years on a linear schedule: at least 99.0% of rated minimum peak power in year one, declining no more than 0.40% per year, with a floor of 87.4% at end of year 30. Performance claims require testing under IEC 61215 or Jinko Solar's approved protocol.
What’s covered
Defects in materials and workmanship
Covers manufacturing defects in both front and rear glass surfaces: cell cracking from internal stress, black frame or edge seal failure, junction box or connector failure, glass breakage from manufacturing fault. Both glass lites and black-pigmented components are covered as for standard modules.
Performance shortfall below warranted thresholds
Where measured output falls below the warranted minimum at any applicable year, Jinko Solar supplies replacement or additional modules or a pro-rated refund at its election: substantiated by approved testing.
Exclusions
External physical damage: Damage from hail, storm, lightning, flood, fire, impact, vandalism, or other external causes is excluded, including damage to the rear glass surface.
Cosmetic discolouration of all-black components: UV fading or cosmetic discolouration of the black frame, encapsulant visible through the rear glass, or surface treatments that does not measurably affect electrical performance is normal ageing: excluded.
Improper installation or use: Warranty is void if the module is installed outside Jinko Solar's published installation guidelines, operated beyond rated electrical or mechanical limits, or structurally modified after manufacture.
Labour and ancillary costs: Removal, reinstallation, shipping, scaffolding, and access costs are excluded from the manufacturer warranty. ACL consumer guarantees may impose separate obligations on the Australian retailer.
Degradation within warranted limits: Power output decline within the stated linear performance warranty parameters is expected behaviour and not a warrantable defect.
Transferability
Transfers automatically with the property or system for the remainder of the original period, no registration; proof of original installation date typically needed for a claim.
How to make a claim
Submit claims to Jinko Solar or its authorised Australian distributor with proof of purchase, serial number, defect description, and supporting documentation. In Australia, the selling retailer is the first contact under ACL obligations and must assist with the claim process.
