Warranty period
10-year product warranty
Covers defects in materials and workmanship for ten (10) years from original installation. Remedy: repair or replacement at Sungrow's discretion for components defective under normal operating conditions. Applies to the battery modules, battery management system (BMS), and associated power electronics.
Capacity retention guarantee
Guarantees a minimum 70% of original rated capacity at the end of the 10-year period, subject to operation within specified conditions and cycle limits. Degradation beyond that threshold is covered under the same remedy provisions. Cycle limits vary by configuration: see the datasheet for each module size's threshold.
What’s covered
Defects in materials and workmanship
Covers defects in manufacturing, materials or factory workmanship: premature battery cell failure, BMS faults from manufacturing error, and structural enclosure defects arising under normal use within the specified operating environment.
Replacement or repair
Accepted claims receive replacement parts or a replacement unit at Sungrow's discretion: possibly refurbished, of equivalent or greater specification. Replacement does not extend the original warranty period.
Exclusions
Labour and reinstallation costs: Removal, reinstallation and commissioning labour are not covered: the owner's responsibility, arranged through a Clean Energy Council-accredited installer.
Improper installation or commissioning: Installation not by a suitably qualified, accredited electrician, or not per Sungrow's installation manual and applicable Australian Standards, voids the warranty.
Operation outside specified parameters: Void if operated outside the datasheet's ambient temperature range, voltage limits or cycle rate. Environments with excessive moisture, corrosive atmospheres, or direct flooding are excluded.
Unauthorised modifications: Modification, repair or disassembly by anyone other than Sungrow-authorised service personnel voids the warranty, including replacing battery modules with non-genuine parts.
Acts of God and external events: Excludes damage from lightning, surges beyond the system's rated protection, flood, fire, vermin, or other external events beyond Sungrow's control.
Transferability
Non-transferable: original purchaser/end user at the original installation address only. On property sale it does not automatically transfer; prospective purchasers should verify coverage with Sungrow Australia before settlement.
How to make a claim

Retain proof of purchase, commissioning records and system monitoring data to substantiate the claim. Response times and remedy logistics follow Sungrow's prevailing service terms at the time of the claim.
