Warranty period
30-year product warranty (N1 series: WST-XXXNGX-D3 108-cell)
WINAICO warrants the NGX-D3 108-cell series (N1) against defects in materials and workmanship for 30 years from the earlier of first purchase or three months from factory dispatch. Remedy at WINAICO's discretion: repair or replacement of the product or parts, or a refund at the current market price of a comparable product at claim time. Coverage is limited to the original country of destination and voids if the product moves between continents without WINAICO's prior written permission.
30-year linear power (performance) warranty
Power output is separately warranted: at least 99% of minimum rated power in year one, then no more than 0.4% annual degradation from year two to year 30 against the minimum rated output on the original-purchase datasheet, a minimum 87.4% of originally rated power at end of the 30-year term. Where WINAICO-approved testing confirms Excess Power Loss, remedies are replacement or additional panels, compensation for the cost of additional panels required, or equivalent panels if the type is discontinued.
What’s covered
Defects in materials and workmanship
Covers failure to perform substantially per WINAICO's published specification under normal operating, use, and service conditions: cells, junction boxes, glass, frames. Products must be purchased at full price through an authorised channel; panels not fully paid to WINAICO are excluded from claims.
Capped labour contribution for accepted product warranty claims
For accepted product warranty claims, WINAICO contributes up to AUD $120 towards labour for installing the first replacement module and AUD $60 per additional module under the same claim. This is not full labour coverage: costs above the caps, removal of the defective panels, and system reconstitution beyond reasonable transport remain the claimant's responsibility.
Transport costs for accepted claims
For accepted claims, WINAICO covers reasonable transport at typical local rates for returning defective products and delivering repairs or replacements. Other reconstitution costs may be covered at WINAICO's discretion.
Exclusions
Removal, reinstallation, and site-change costs: Not covered: installing or removing defective products, or reinstalling replacements, beyond the capped labour contribution in clause 5.3(b). Relocation to a new site voids the warranty (exclusion 4.5b).
Acts of nature and external damage: Excluded: lightning, flood, fire, electrical surges, hail impact, vandalism, freezing or low temperatures, animals, insects, industrial chemical exposure, or any event beyond WINAICO's control, including impact glass breakage and exceeding rated wind or snow loads.
Modification, misuse, or incorrect installation: Void if the product has been altered, repaired, or modified without WINAICO's prior written consent, or was not installed by a WINAICO-certified installer per the installation and user manual.
Cosmetic changes and micro-cracks from normal wear: Cosmetic blemishes, discolouration, mould, and micro-cracks from installation, transport, or normal wear are excluded while output remains within warranted limits: as are hotspots from micro-cracks, shading, foreign material, or obstructions.
Marine, mobile, and non-Australian installations: Excludes products on mobile platforms, in marine environments, in direct contact with saltwater or corrosive agents, or outside the Australian continent: the warranty applies exclusively within Australia.
Label alteration: Alteration, removal, or obliteration of the original product label voids the warranty.
Transferability
Extends to the original end-user customer and: while the products remain at their first installation site: to any subsequent owner to whom title transfers. Moving panels to a new site, or between continents without WINAICO's prior written permission, voids the warranty.
How to make a claim
Contact the original seller or installer first for claim forms and instructions; if they no longer exist or cannot be reached, submit directly to WINAICO Australia Pty Ltd, 3/393 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (phone: +61 2 8091 2771, email: australia@winaico.com). Notice of the alleged defect is required within 14 days of discovery, with proof of purchase, module serial numbers, photographs of the defect, and a written fault description. Returns are not accepted without prior written authorisation.
