- The scored EQ5500-L2 uses one EQ5500-M and one EQ5500-S, providing 10.92 kWh. The Australian datasheet specifies natural-convection cooling. The linked Australian EQ5500 manual separately describes an aerosol fire-protection module in each battery unit, with thermal activation at or above 170 C and discharge within 5 seconds. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent propagation-test results or a guarantee that a battery fire cannot occur. The manual calls for replacement after activation through authorised service. This suppression device does not establish active operational thermal management, so the existing passive-cooling score remains. Cell-balancing architecture and independent reliability remain unestablished; BMS status indicators and CAN communication do not answer those questions. The disclosure applies to the reviewed Australian manual revision and does not establish retrofit entitlement for every previously supplied unit.
