Performance guarantee: 30-year linear output
Wattage figure based on the sourced rated power (640 W) applied to the guaranteed floor; modular/format differences aside, this is the same rated-power spec shown above.
Modelled effective output, year by year
Year 1 to year 25, at 30°C and 1000 W/m². Rated 640 W at STC.
How this is modelled
Compounds this panel’s own published first-year (1%) and annual (0.4%/yr) degradation figures against its 640 W rated (STC) output, then derates for the ambient and irradiance selected. Output is scaled roughly linearly with irradiance (1000 W/m² against the 1000 W/m² STC reference). This is the dominant real-world effect at low light, whether from cloud, shading or soiling. Output is then further derated for heat, from this panel’s own NOCT (45°C) and temperature coefficient (-0.29%/°C), giving an estimated cell temperature of 61°C at that ambient and irradiance. A datasheet-derived estimate, not a field measurement or a warranty guarantee: it does not account for this panel’s own low-light efficiency response (a separate, less-consistently-published spec), or for wind and system design. See NOCT and temperature coefficient in the glossary.

Strong evidence coverage
17 of 17 scored criteria link directly to a published source.
Values marked estimated, derived, or not found remain visible on the audit sheet and do not carry the same evidential weight as a linked source. Coverage measures direct links, not an independent guarantee that a claim is correct.

Product record history
IN Warranty scope
- Before
- Warranty certificate VSL/ENG/WD/04-R06 names HYPERSOL VSMDH.66.AAA.05 as a warranted G12/G12R N-type glass-glass product and identifies Vikram Solar Limited as warrantor.
- After
- Vikram Solar Limited warranty VSL/ENG/WD/04-R06, still linked by its public downloads library on 6 October 2026, names HYPERSOL VSMDH.66.AAA.05 (G12/G12R glass-glass; scored 640 W). It provides 12-year product and 30-year STC linear-power cover (99% in year one, then 0.4 percentage points annually to 87.4%). These are warranty obligations, not measured field yield; the applicable purchaser instrument must be checked because R06 states it remains valid until revised and gives no issue/effective date.
IN Warranty conditions
- Current text
- labour: No unconditional on-site labour promise is scored.; registration: The earlier of the sales invoice date or one year after factory dispatch starts cover. R06 states no separate registration prerequisite. Give prompt written notice to the local Customer Service Manager by registered mail or email where applicable; otherwise send a registered letter directly to Vikram Solar to obtain the claim form. Claims must be received within the warranty term; no numeric initial-notice deadline is stated. The completed form may require full plant, operation and maintenance details; altered or illegible serial numbers exclude claims.; remedy: For a covered product defect, Vikram Solar chooses repair, replacement or a depreciated purchase-price refund. For accepted material/workmanship-related power shortfall, it may repair/replace, add modules where owner-funded mounting is possible, or refund the shortfall against warranted power using a comparable module’s current market price. Repair/replacement keeps the original warranty end date. Power is measured or normalized to STC under IEC 60904, accounting for system error under EN 50380. A disputed claim uses an ISO 17025 laboratory recognized by Vikram Solar; the losing party pays its fees and expenses. R06 also states same-size/same-Pmax replacement within 50 days of complaint if that particular module size was discontinued; this is a conditional replacement undertaking, not a deadline for every claim.; removal reinstallation: Additional remedy modules must be mountable at the owner’s expense. Removal and reinstallation at another location exclude cover; subsequent-owner transfer requires the original site. R06 does not establish unconditional payment of same-site removal or reinstallation costs.; transferability: The warranty transfers to a later owner only while the module remains at its original installation site.; transport: Module returns require prior written authorization and compliance with Vikram Solar’s packing and shipping instructions. R06 does not establish who pays ordinary return freight or promise air freight. Delivery packaging damage must be identified during delivery itself for manufacturer acceptance; other such damage is directed to the forwarding or insurance company.
