Year 1 to year 25. Rated 420 W at STC.

How this is modelled

Modelled from this panel’s own published first-year (2%) and annual (0.45%/yr) degradation figures, compounded against its 420 W rated (STC) output. This is a datasheet-derived estimate, not a field measurement or a warranty guarantee. Actual output also depends on site irradiance, temperature, soiling and system design.

Global benchmark. This scorecard is benchmarked globally. A global score does not imply local availability, certification, warranty coverage, or installer compatibility.

Benchmark anchor. The score is anchored to the highest published rating in this exact published US series. Scored model: TSP-420 · checked 2026-08-01. Evidence.

Strong evidence coverage

18 of 18 scored criteria link directly to a published source.

Values marked estimated, derived, or not found remain visible on the audit sheet and do not carry the same evidential weight as a linked source. Coverage measures direct links, not an independent guarantee that a claim is correct.

Record correction. Tesla TSP-415/TSP-420 datasheet (energylibrary.tesla.com, file last_modified 31 July 2026), Tesla Solar Panel Limited Warranty (USA) Rev. 1.2 effective 2 June 2026, and Tesla's certification directory. Re-verified 2026-08-19. Corrected 2026-08-19, four defects: (1) the archived source was the WRONG PRODUCT - the older Tesla Photovoltaic Module T420S/T425S/T430S sheet, a 144-cell 2.111 m2 family the California CEC lists from 2021-07-01, not the 360-cell TSP family. It has been replaced with the live TSP datasheet. (2) `released` read 2023; the California CEC lists all six TSP models from 2025-09-22 and Tesla's FY2025 10-K puts first customer deliveries in January 2026. (3) the governing warranty was cited as effective 6 November 2025, two revisions stale. (4) warranty scope was recorded as North America; the instrument is titled (USA), names the United States, and contains no reference to Canada or North America - the NA-EN filename is misleading.

United States only. Tesla Solar Panel Limited Warranty (USA) Rev. 1.2, effective 2 June 2026, names TSP-405 through TSP-430 and provides 25-year product and 25-year performance cover: at least 98% of rated power in year one, then no more than 0.45% decline per year, reaching at least 87.2% at year 25. Tesla may repair, replace or compensate, and covers reasonable certified-installer labour for valid claims during the first ten years. The document is titled (USA) and does not name Canada; the earlier 'North America' scope recorded here came from the NA-EN filename, not the instrument.
